Issue with setting up Enviornment for the Voting demo

why am i getting an error when trying to follow the Starport Poll demo

when try to run

curl https://get.starport.network/[email protected]! | bash

is VSCode ISE bash terminal

i get the following error

Error: output directory missing: /usr/local/bin

why is this?
