Sentry nodes... how many?

Hi Guys - very new and reading about hosting Cosmos. I see it’s recommended you host some sentries to support your Validator… but what’s the recommendation here? How many sentries are needed? Should they be geographically dispersed to optimise performance? What’s the recommended config?

This is entirely based on your setup and security. Many people run with >= 2 sentries. You mainly want to make sure that if one sentry goes down that your validator will still be running. Another recommendation of mine is to run a seed node that you can connect to as well.
