Proof-Based Legal Automation: A DocuSign MVP Built on Cosmos

Introduction The evolution of the eIDAS regulatory framework in Europe, especially with eIDAS 2, shows that electronic evidence, digital identity, trust services and electronic ledgers will become increasingly important in the coming years. The introduction of qualified electronic ledgers is particularly interesting, because it confirms that electronic ledgers can play a role in ensuring the integrity, timestamping and chronological ordering of certain electronic data. This point seems important for the Cosmos stack, because it shows that electronic evidence is not only about document storage or electronic signatures. The real issue is the ability to produce reliable, verifiable and usable evidence for digital systems, whether for private actors, public actors, enterprise workflows, smart contracts or, tomorrow, AI agents. Originally, my thinking came mainly from an administrative-law use case.
