Plan to Save Cosmos

It’s time to save the Cosmos.

The plan is simple: use Cosmos Hub community pool to market buy OG Cosmos projects like Osmosis, Neutron, Stargaze, Celestia, Akash, etc.

Traders will by anticipating massive price pumps due to low liquidity, so naturally they will buy. When the prop passes, there is another massive price pump.

This is called “number go up technology”, which we’ve been badly missing.

Next, implement x/drip module that distributes these tokens to $ATOM stakers.

Now, you’ll be thinking, “this is a stupid idea, the community won’t get a good price.”

This line of thinking misses the point, it’s about accumulating karma. It’s about sending a message that Cosmos chains can pump, and that we will pump them.

Fully acquiring projects is a lot of work… but acquiring the tokens of projects is easy. There’s $42 million in the community pool just sitting there.

Can you imagine what $1 million buy pressure over the course of 6 months would do to the price of $STARS? Can you imagine what that would do for the price of COSMOS NFTs? Now imagine what that would do for the perception that all Cosmos chains are going to zero.

Yes this is exactly the way!
In particular, this would be best suited for classically application specific blockchains that have regularly demonstrated a commitment to providing functioning applications.

Stargaze is the perfect example. The cultural hub of Cosmos with a teeny tiny market cap would greatly benefit from such a setup. I fully support this initiative, and will encourage folks in my orbit to come out in support of this idea.

For this to happen, a governance proposal that that makes an on-chain change with specific purchase of certain coins using treasury.

  1. could start small with little spends
  2. use those as a testing ground where the little spends still get broken up across stakers but the user has to claim the tokens and pay gas for it - increasing demand for blockspace on the hub and ensuring that the costs are limited to people who are actually opting-in to receive these tokens
  3. initial proposal could be:
  • $5,000 worth of $STARS (Culture Hub)
  • $5,000 worth of $OSMO (Liquidity Hub)
  • $5,000 worth of $HUAHUA (Meme Hub)

That’s only $15k from the community pool as a test, but it could be the beginning of something bigger.
