Proposal (Idea): Cosmos Community Hub — Incentivized Staking, Governance Participation & Reputation Layer (Powered by ATOM)

Introduction This is not a formal on-chain proposal (yet), but a community-driven idea shared to spark discussion, feedback, and hopefully adoption by builders, DAOs, or aligned stakeholders within the Cosmos ecosystem. The core vision: to strengthen Cosmos Hub’s community foundations and unlock long-term value for ATOM by creating a unified platform that connects staking, governance, incentives, and reputation — all in one place. Problem Statement Despite Cosmos Hub’s robust staking and governance system, community participation remains low: • <10% of delegators vote in most proposals. • No meaningful incentives for active governance contributors. • No way to measure or reward long-term contributions on-chain. This leads to weak engagement, underutilized governance, and ultimately slows Cosmos Hub’s growth and the value accrual potential of ATOM. Finally we come to this subject! I am delighted. The idea seems coherent. I am just wondering if we should force people to necessarily link with their wallet or let them choose. I am thinking of a hybrid system in which, if we link with the wallet, we can initiate systems of tips, super likes, visibility of certain posts, sharing on paid networks etc. thanks to txs via the Hub, All this in addition to what you propose in your first post. This would not prevent people who are fans of privacy from remaining in the shadows and still participating, and unlocking premium functions for those who link. I would be happy to continue thinking about this proposal with the community.

Those who connect can unlock premium features like tipping, super likes, post boosting, and integrations with paid networks via the Hub, all without excluding privacy-minded users who prefer to stay anonymous.

We could even explore lightweight options for social login–based custodial wallets for newcomers, while still supporting non-custodial setups like Keplr or Ledger for advanced users.

This layered model can help onboard a wider range of users and strengthen the ecosystem.
