EVM integration into Cosmos Hub

I would like to know if and when the Cosmos team plans to integrate the EVM module into the Cosmos Hub.
The repository GitHub - cosmos/evm: An EVM compatible framework for blockchain development with the Cosmos SDK is being developed as a module, and there are already candidates for the first release.
But I’m curious whether this will actually be included in the Cosmos Hub blockchain.

@Noam when I asked in Slack about launching a testnet with the EVM module, you promised to add me to the dev chat, but that hasn’t happened yet. I would like to ask about this there.

Maybe you know when the EVM module will be available in Cosmos Hub, and whether integration with MetaMask is planned (staking via MetaMask using precompiled smart contracts)?
