AADAO Oversight Election Retro: Report & Recommendations

To capture and organize the lessons learned from staging the first election using Cosmos governance, a retrospective report should be developed with detailed recommendations. This report would systematically document the entire election process, identifying both strengths and areas for improvement. Key recommendations would include e.g., enhancing voter education on governance procedures, voting options, implementing/enforcing clearer conflict of interest guidelines, and improving the transparency of candidate information. Additionally, it can propose methods for more effective community engagement and feedback collection for the candidate “vetting” phase – ensuring that future elections are shortlisted candidates are more inclusive and reflective of the community’s values. If you have ideas for what could have been done better, or differently in the candidate selection process, or the election itself, please contribute your thoughts and observations here to enrich this retrospective paper.
