A Union of state machines (via a constitutional agreement, ratified by each chain that seeks to enter the Union), governed through various means yet with a stated consensus to be loyal to the Union. Truly a beautiful vision. What could this Constitution entail? Rough draft of a few of my own opinions; • Bring safety to consumers in this Union . If an exploit happens, the funds can be frozen by Validators in any Union chain, and reversed via Union or dual governance. ( Pro: step forward in consumer safety, Con: puts limits on immutability) • Validator social slashing via Union chain governance. “If you attack one Union chain, you attack all Union chains.” Extending out slashing risk to the governance of every Union chain you validate, makes for a larger economic security risk if validators perform a serious offense. It goes beyond ICS and Mesh Security, Union governed social slashing gives a burden to Validating and demands near perfection. (Pro: adds an addition accountability level to Validating, Cons: adds a potentially massive slashing risk to validators) This could also come with a Union tax for each chain, or some other sort of Union agreed upon reward, for…
